Is there any reference that tallies the various signature slabs? I've never paid a premium for them but have acquired many as part of an accumulation of proof 2017-s I hoarded a few years ago and many have various signature on the slab. Do any carry any extra value?

I'm not really into the graded ASEs in general. Sometimes I think you're better off just looking at completed listings on ebay to get a general sense, remembering to look at equal grades. The graders should have some idea of the population of the label. Some signatures add to the value, some don't. Mercanti is always a safe bet. Sports figures or someone that has no connection to the production of coins are "not so much".

I agree with the above comments on a personal level, it's not my thing. But I try to pay attention to the trends of the hobby, and to many newer collectors, the slab and label are of greater interest to them. If it gets young people interested in coins, I'm all for it. But not buying.

I believe NGC (probably PCGS as well) list them as "varieties.

PCGS does list them as "varieties". e.g. 2017-S Proof, go to Coin Facts at https://www.pcgs.com/coinfacts/coin...-dcam/626103 and click "Show Related Coins and Varieties (54)" above the price chart. Each will have its own population on the resulting page. Don't trust the "price guide" if there is one; some may have recent sale prices which are more reliable. Best shot for values is to search ebay "sold" listings but those only go back three months and you may not find any low-population signatures there.

I'll have to look at that again, but aren't these registry sets more to do with the label, than it does the coin? In other words I think there are a lot of OGP sets where you can't get the certification of where it came from, at least not now.
