Coin Community Selling Rules - Updated Feb 21, 2025

General Rules

The purpose of this forum is to allow you to sell your coin related* items to CCF members.

There is no fee to list or to sell here.

You must have 250 posts to start a topic (sell) and 50 posts to reply to a topic (buy) in this forum.

Selling here is a benefit of being a participating member of the discussion forums. If we discover that you are primarily selling, rather than primarily participating in the discussion forums, action will be taken.

Do not use this forum to sell an item that you also have posted elsewhere (cross-post) to avoid the disappointment of an item not being available here because it was sold elsewhere.

Do not use this forum to promote items you have for sale on other venues. Use the Sales Promotions forum.

No extraneous chatting in topics is permitted. Staff may remove such posts. If you want to make comments about the item, direct your comment to the seller by private message. Questions about the item being sold are allowed.

If you see a post that violates these selling rules, you can use the Report this Post to the Staff link so it can be addressed.

Sellers

You may have up to three listings running at the same time.

Counterfeits of any kind, including altered coins, may not be listed here for sale. No exceptions.

Do not post something for sale unless you are sure you want to sell it. When someone says they will buy it, then you say "I decided to keep it" is unacceptable.

Start the Subject with "For Sale:", "Auction:", or "Best Offer:". No "wanted" or "trade" posts are allowed (there are other forums for that).

You must list payment options accepted and they must be clear.

There are many online payment methods that charge no fee to the sender or the recipient. Examples are Zelle, Venmo, CashApp, etc. Your bank may already be set up for Zelle.

PAYPAL: You may not use any wording that suggests getting around PayPal (or any other payment method) fees, including asking for additional money to cover them. This is not up for discussion. Listings that break this rule will be removed. If we find out you are even suggesting it after the fact there will be repercussions. If you can't accept this rule, just sell somewhere else.

The best listing will be a single item or a group of items sold together for one price.

You should include clear, cropped images of the item.

Posts may be edited for 15 minutes only. So check your post immediately so you can make any needed corrections.

It is suggested that you subscribe to your listing topic so that you are notified when there is a reply posted.

Failure to respond to questions posted on the listing may result in the listing being removed.

When your item sells, or you no longer wish to sell the item, you must notify the Staff by using the Report this Post to the Staff link so it can be moved out of the active selling forum.

Topics over 60 days old will be moved to the ENDED forum.

Buyers

If you are interested in buying the item:
1) use the send an email feature (click seller Id) to let the seller know, AND
2) also make a post on the topic indicating your interest. This post could serve as a record of who wanted the item first, should more than one person be interested.

Auction Specific Rules

Auctions must have a crystal clear ending time, using forum time, to the minute. Maximum 10 day length.

Always put the ending time in the Subject.

Auctions are over at the time specified, therefore bids posted at or after that time, are not valid.

Auction bid increments must be even dollar amounts, no cents. No exceptions. Invalid bid amounts do not count and will be deleted by the Staff when seen.

Sniping is allowed. The last valid highest bid wins. Coin Community is not responsible for late bids no matter what the reason is, or you think it is. Members complaining about sniping, in public or private, will be suspended for two weeks for the first offense.
