@tt, I agree some pics would be a good start. However, as these have been counterfeited so extensively, it also may be important to establish some provenance. Did the person from whom you inherited them keep records of where they bought them? Not so much just " ebay", but rather the specific seller or auction house. Experts for the confident authentication for these are very scarce. I am definitely not one of them.
Need to take it for in hand examination by an expert at Heritage or other similar professional authority.

@Spence, when did these start to be counterfeited extensively? I received them from my father who died in 1981 and who knows how long he had them. these come before online forums by many years.
I don't see any bills of sale, but he did extensive research on them and has them all documented.

If your father purchased them before 1981, the likelihood is that they are genuine. I would contact Joe Lang at Stephen Album Rare Coins (www.stevealbum.com).

there is some evidence that they were purchased around mid 1950s. not 100% conclusive evidence, but good enuf for me.

i don't have the skills or equipment to take good pictures.
I'm know they were purchased before 1981 and there is evidence that it was around mid 1950s.
will contact Joe at Steve album (?) as suggested.
