Woke up this morning and saw that silver had dropped down to $28.12. Fortunately, I was prepared for just such an eventuality and had a tube of 20 Mexican Silver Libertads sitting in my shopping cart over at Provident Metals. Pulled the trigger and watched silver climb back up to $28.40 a few minutes later.
I recently ordered a tube of Britannias from Provident as well. Can't wait to get everything!

Yep, they are both 2013.
When these come in, I will officially have at least one bullion coin from the following countries:
USA (ASE, APE, AGE) Canada (Silver Maple) Mexico (Gold 50 Peso, Silver Libertad) South Africa (Gold Krugerrand) Great Britain (Silver Britannia) Australia (Platinum Platypus, Silver Lunar Dragon) Austria (Silver Philharmonic) China (Silver Panda)
As a coin collector, I am strictly interested in U.S. coinage due primarily to the history behind the coins. When it comes to bullion, however, I really love the way the stuff from other country looks and love owning a wide variety (as long as I'm not paying too much of a premium over spot).

Cool! I was going to do the same but went for another product. Still need my 2013s.

@barryg---You nailed it! Talk about an ideal "buyer's dip" -- spot dropped like a rock around 2am from the $28.75ish it's been clinging to for a month, went down to a bit above $28 and hung around in the cellar until it climbed back up around 10am. I think you may have caught the low point of the entire dip. Good catch!

Man, Barry, you should of had a couple of 100 ozers in there too! ;)
Wait...but then it would have dipped to $27. In the end, good call Barry. Good call.

Well, silver just dipped back down to $28.30 a little while ago, but I think I've bought enough for right now. Gotta finish paying for the stuff I just bought before buying anything else, right?

Yep, proofs are definitely the way to go... as long as you don't mind paying the extra premiums!

If proof Eagles had mintages as low as Libertads , you would be paying five times the premium that Lib's have.

I agree completely about the aesthetic quality of the Libs and that's the main reason I've got lots of them. But... as long as the best deal I can get on Libs is $2.25 per coin more than ASEs, my money goes into the ASEs. Pretty is great, but not great enough to be worth $2.25 per coin to me.
When I can get secondary market Libs at my LCS for spot+$2, I jump on them. When it comes to spot+$3.90+shipping, that's not anywhere I'm going.
That's a shame, too, because I really do like them. If Libs had a premium like CSMs do, my stash would be almost entirely Libs.

Yes, proofs are the BEST. Don Bailey has them for 84 dollars shipped... much better than ebay. I need to remember to get mine, been busy with work and keep forgetting.
