I would say I like the "brand bullion" like Engelhard. As I've collected those bars of all sizes ( 1 oz, 3oz, 5oz, 10, 20 etc) - While prices have dropped, their premium associated with the brand has remained. Maybe not as much, but not as bad as lets say generic silver 1 oz round.
On the other hand, one move I did was purchase five 2oz Zeus Silver Rounds from the Perth Mint which had a mintage of 1,500. I purchased 5 of them for an average of $290 dollars each. They all sell for over $500+ now on eBay.I don't plan on selling any of them but completing sets along the way.
Gold on the other hand ....I'll take anything that is .99999 24k. |

Quote: Had I known folks would be interested in using the markets to sell short gold and silver in this decline, I would have offered up several easy to use set ups that I use all the time.
The ironic thing for me personally is I have had an L2 approved account for many many years (calls/puts/options). I have never used it once as I mainly had the account for long term investing. Now that I've watched the "silver show", I feel it's going to trend lower short (3-5 months minimum) until there is major news/event/situation etc that causes a positive up-trend in silver. I might as well use that short-term vision, and gain some $ while sitting on the physical bullion sideline. Again, if I would've bought puts 2 years ago, I think I would have been sitting on some $ to buy more gold/silver proofs/bullion. Part of me just hasn't jumped in fully yet. I would rather catch the CONFIRMED wave UP on silver, than catch a falling knife on silver and hoping it is the bottom. Until then I'm saving $ and buying small PM purchases that satisfy my bullion/proof/gold/silver/Engelhard/Johnson matthey hunger.
And seriously considering puts on SLV 3-6 months.
