I am not all that much inclined to buy new issue exonummia in set form, despite the fact that you can tear the set apart and buy something with them, because they are legal tender. No buyer of the presentation set is going to do that.
In this case, the total FV is $10, and the purchase price from Woolworths is $15. In the numismatic aftermarket, most of more common colored coins sell at at coin shows at $4 each. Six coins in this set = $24. That sort of rationale suggests that the set at $15 is OK for those who may be interested.
Woolworths is 5 minutes 10 minutes walk from where I live, so I may be tempted. However, I would be on the lookout to find them in circulation, and keep two examples of each coin at FV. There is much more fun in the hunt than simply getting them in the set, and a better investment, if that is your thing.

I will buy them in the sets for three reasons. 1, I can't be bothered going there each week to try and convince the workers to give me 10 at a time, 2, the quality will be slightly better from the sets. 3, the wife works there so I'll get a staff discount. :) (and no, the wife can't bring bags of them home for me).
Steve.

if you wish to get them from pocket change out of circulation, it should be easy. The RAM has used Woollies in the past to put new issue colored coins into circulation, through the checkouts. It seem that Woolies and the RAM have some sort of commercial agreement.
I have obtained alphabet coins from the Post Office in the same manner.

The two $1 coins in the set are not coloured and won't be given out in the Woolworths tills. You can only get them in the set. That being said when the last similar set was issued this way in Woolworths, the 2018 Commonwealth Games set,There were four NCLT $1 coins included. When the promotion was over they ripped the remaining sets apart and threw the NCLT $1 coins into the tills. I got a few in change that way.
Cheers Mike

Just a reminder, for any interested, that the Wiggle's coin sets went on sale through Woolworth's stores this morning.

Picked up 3 sets yesterday afternoon. Still amazes me that people are flogging them on ebay for $25-30. Some sold for $30-40 including postage. I guess not everyone lives a reasonable distance to a Woolies (or are too lazy!).

I got a set during the week. Not my favourite coins to be released by Woolworths.

The Olympics were delayed by 12 months, so probably didn't know that the Wiggles would be about the same time. Our Woolworths is still giving out early Olympic coins and no Wiggles are in the till. Only way to get them is buy the set.
