I doubt the vast majority of security or bank staff could care less. No heaps are on face book people are finding rolls in atms. As much as we like to blame scalpers and what have you hoarding of coins is pretty much always down to fellow "collectors".

True the fire fighter c mint was 40,000 but it was still a big difference time wise and the mintage on the indigenous service c mint was 50,000

Read into this what you will but the last few c mint mark coloured $2 have disappeared from the RAM online shop in about 15 minutes and this one was on there for nearly 3 days. Maybe a little bit of heat has come out of the $2 market or maybe a lot of "collectors" who thought they were going to make their fortune on recent releases have re-accessed

I think a lot of collectors ignore it because it was never a circulation coin.

I think a lot of people go into noodleing with high hopes, and walk away disappointed.

I have done some trades of coins recently with collectors around the world. Today I went to post some coins they were wrapped and tapped between two postcard sized pieces of card in a standard envelope. One to Israel and one to India only weighed 80 grams each and one to Russia weighing 200 grams and the post office wanted to charge $140

The prices quoted online were much cheaper but still expensive anyway I took a risk and stuck a bunch of stamps on them and made sure they had my return address so fingers crossed they get to their destination or back to me.

On the downside this has scared me right off trading coins outside Australia and I don't have anything of interest to Australian collectors so a bit of a catch 22.

The HH story all started with channel 7, They did a story about coins in your change that may be special and it got a lot of clicks so they have been flogging a dead horse. Most of the research for these stories seems to be TikTok videos of people who don't seem to know what they are talking about and don't even have examples of these coins and just use images they find online. Strangely enough they inital story they ran that featured the HH coins did mention towards the end of the story they were a common coin. I believe this is why coloured $2 coins are pretty thin on the ground these days as they are pocketed for there insane values lol.

I have noticed these all seem to come with either a P or D mint mark, Is either more rare or desirable for whatever reason?

So the collection has grown and here are sets from places that begin with the letter I (just a coincidence I got a few I places at roughly the same time)

ICELAND

ISLE OF MAN

ISRAEL

ITALY

If anybody thinks they have anything they would like to sell that would fit my collection please feel free to pm me.
