I am not savvy in the identification of a die clash, is it possible that this could be one on the obverse? The reverse also has what I think is a die crack.
Correct, it is a clash. What you see in front of the eyes is the C of CENT clashed. The raised letter is indented into the field. What you perceive as a crack through the C is actually the edge of the face profile clashed into the reverse.
