Most of my finds lately have been pedestrian, at best, including this one....

There are four or five different listings that look like this DDO and I could not find any matching markers, so not sure which one it is. The 2016 DDO's have always bothered me anyway, I have often wondered if some are from doubled working hubs, there are MANY very similar.

2016P minor DDO

My bad, just looked like there was something on the opposing rim, in the obverse picture, thought it may be on the edge too, like the link shows.

That pretty neat looking. Could there be a vertical collar crack involved as well? I'm still very new to errors but trying to learn. Maybe take a look at the opposing edge and see if there is something similar.

That is a crazy find from change, congrats to your friend!

Looks like a light clash on your Brazilian coin. I found one listing that matches the design of your coin but the clash is different.

A couple of other coins that match the design.

The upper left part of the mm has either taken a small hit or slight MD. The mm, as a whole, is larger than normal because of a worn out punch.

Nice! I have found some really bad ones, (or good ones, depending on how you look at it), but nothing this severe or still this intact.

Very nice, Will! Yours still has the 1st listed obverse though, so not the VLDS.

Are they split when you look at them with the coin in hand?
Spence, this particular RPM does not have splits, it is south of the regular mm. Here is a closeup of the RPM from the "trueview".

It looks like "push doubling", which is a form of machine doubling.

Sweet! I know very little to nothing about these quarters but that is a very cool find and great looking coin for a 100 PLUS year old coin from a bank roll find.

Thanks, guys! I've been sneaking a little searching in, in-between work and the remodel.... I can finally get the electrician to come back.

Would this also cause what looks like to be an inner rim so to speak?

As stated above, die deterioration. That is was causes the "ridge ring" that you are asking about too. Scroll down to the bottom of the link.

Looks like dried glue, where the reverse was displayed in some way. Silver dollars have been used in a lot of ways over the years, belt buckles, necklaces or just glued to a surface of some sort.
