@Moniker: The coin appears to have a good strike (I see definition in the Native American's thumb on his bow) and attractive surfaces.

The lack of visible luster could be the result of the lighting used (or not) - it's often difficult to determine with certainty without seeing a coin in hand.

I'd certainly give it a 65, or even better.

Thank you Commem, yes the strike looks strong, and satiny finish. The lack of luster worries me I will ask seller if there is luster present.

Thank you Confrog, Livingwater. and Ijn
I see a small hit on the thigh and one on a ray on the reverse. Few dings on edges

Spectacular design imho but these was minted in large numbers, numismedia says around 275S for ms65 but I guess unslabbed go much cheaper.
They seem to be easy to find for sale

Would be a nice commemorative to own

Nice looking coin, certainly could be a ms65, would need pics with luster to be certain. Almost all of the early (1892-1954) commemoratives are very neat coin designs with low mintages, would love to complete the "type set" at some point.
I've been collecting for a couple years... Favorite Coin's are Standing Liberty quarters, Working on my type set | Coffee, Corvettes, Coins & the CCF what could be better?

I agree with Commens - I'll guess there is plenty of luster but the lighting angle is hiding. Nice strong strike and details.

Thank you for comments, yes strong strike I find it very pleasant. Is there any difference beetween the regular strike and the S in appearance. Most I see on ebay don't have as strong strike.

Lovely example, certainly mid-MS minimum.

I'm not clear on what you mean by the term 'regular strike'. In 1926 this coin was produced at both the Philadelphia and San Francisco mints with all coins struck as business strike examples.

To the best of my knowledge there were no plans or efforts to produce 'special strike' examples.

Your well struck example is a result of a coin produced on a fresh(er) set of dies on a well adjusted coining press.

Thanks for sharing Moniker,

I see wear on the coin as mentioned, Small circulation nicks, dings, etc.

Hands on the bow are an indication of that high spot taking wear Among the First high areas on the coin's surface to Show or Indicate Wear. See more worn examples...

The rim has hits as are Also an indication of Circulation.

The strike is a Strong one, Although Far Too Many , Non Original distractions on an Awesome design.

Luster is Another ? Whats up There..... Dipped prior

Just not an MS-65, .......In My Opinion
