It's a damaged coin, but still has some collector value.

Why would you want to spend that ? Silver content alone is over 2$. For collectors it's got to be worth a good premium.

Don't spend it. It's a collectible coin. You can get silver value for it, plus collector value.

Even in that condition it is worth 20 to 45 dollars. Think of the history of it and not just the money . Keep it for conversation.

no, this is NOT a spender, not in the greatest condition, but would make a nice addition to a collection.

Not a spender. A keeper for sure.

I think if you did try to spend it, it would cause a ruckus. Probably nobody would believe that it is actual US legal tender. The cops might even haul you off to the pokey, and you don't want that.
