People are actually bidding for those coins too! There is one bid at over $150 already! What is going on? It's not just Bluey coins on ebay either. I see a single $2 Paris Olympics coin just sold for $120. I don't think people are looking closely at the ads or reading the descriptions properly. Oh well, fools and their money....

One of those hand painted coins sold for $205!!! What are people thinking?
The RAM's website states "Defacing a coin includes coating the surface of the money with any sort of material. The penalty for defacing coins, or selling or possessing money that has been defaced, is $11,100 or imprisonment for two years for an individual (or both), and $22,200 for a body corporate."
A very expensive coin!

Just had a look at feedback for that seller and there is one very unhappy buyer. Claims to have paid enough for a colored coin but received an uncoloured coin. Apparently seller told the buyer to paint it themselves- called it a "project" coin! Despite it being illegal to paint coins, ebay Apparently have no issue with them being listed for sale on their platform. How low can ebay go? Buyers beware!

Quote: Did anyone actually manage to get any from the Post Office or RAM? I had two sets arrive this morning which I ordered online through Australia Post the afternoon that they went on sale. I had intended to purchase them over the counter but they had sold out within the first hour!

Quote: Did anyone actually manage to get any from the Post Office or RAM? It states that the mintage is 'unlimited' , so what does this actually mean? Do they have more in stock to be released due to the demand? Will they mint more due to the demand? Was told by the Post Office when they sold my reserved tube that they were getting more.... Can't trust them though. https://www.coincollect.com.au/prod...RAM-Release/Here are some if you want to pay double. Seems to be the only coin dealer in the country who has them for sale?

I managed to get 2 tubes and folders as pre orders from my local post office. I missed out on the 10 coin privy set as the post office only got 6 sets in and they were all pre orders. I was no 8 on the list and the post office was unable to order any more. ( This was 3 weeks before the actual release day). The post office manager said they wouldn't be printing any more coins for the tubes even tho it is unlimited as the coloured coins wouldn't be 1 in 10 chance as advertised. The allocations have been exhausted is what she told me.

I tried this morning too. Was logged on and ready to go but stock was sold out immediately at release time. Wonder how anyone was able to buy one if they were all sold immediately at release? Staff getting them first maybe? Really should follow the dealers and sell via ballot I think. Only way to be fair.

Are the plain 'Bingo' and 'Bluey' coins released into circulation ? Not found one yet, any body else? And the police should have charged the so called coin dealer who bought the stolen coins, being a dealer they would have known that they were not released yet at the time.

The plain "Bluey and Bingo" coins have been released thru the tills at Australia Post. I was shopping last week at Australia Post and got $16 worth in my change as the girl just wanted to get rid of them. A mix of both coins.
