It doesn't look right to me. Kind of primitive details and it doesn't look like it's made of silver. It's a little underweight-I'd also check the thickness and diameter to make sure.
Here's an authentic one for comparison:

Note the misspelling as well: "caindareens" instead of "candareens." These misspellings are often found on Chinese imperial coins, though.

You're welcome. I'm not by any means an expert. I'd also run a magnet over it just in case.

Kirin coins are well known to be underweight despite mandated to be struck at a specific weight. This actually is within a typical kirin weight spec.

Do you have a photo of the edge?

I'm leaning towards not genuine at the moment.

I am curious how you can guarantee it's silver, because it sure doesn't look like silver to me.

Yes, the Chinese fakemasters do sometimes make their fakes from real silver - but usually only their top-tier numismatic fakes, since they'd lose money selling these for near-bullion value if they were genuine silver. This is a coin type that might see numismatic forgeries made, as genuine examples are worth thousands. But you're not going to see these silver fakes just kicking around in a street stall or coin dealer's mixed bullion box.

They test before they buy coins and don't want to buy/sell fakes. They deal with large volumes of gold and silver. But ofcourse errors can be made. It has large amounts of wear but that can ofcourse be faked

The new pic and acetone bath are awesome.
Looks good to me: either a really good fake made of silver or an authentic coin.
Are you thinking about sending it in?

a brief update, I have narrowed down the example to a 1904
(1904)#30002;#36784; $1 LM-552 Sm Char (Regular Strike)
a variant of the regular strike with small charachters (if genuine ofcourse) the character around the circle is smaller than on the regular
Havent send it to pcgs yet since its a pain to do so and expensive, would be fun if a 20$ coin was the real deal

here is a certified one of the same type that sold at stacks
