I didn't find much during yesterday's hunt on another wooded hillside along the Milwaukee River in Milwaukee, WI, but I did come across this 1899 Indian Head cent.

It cleaned up very nicely. I didn't want to do too much cleaning to it, so I left some dirt on, in order to protect the lovely green patina.

I'm fortunate that the soil around here preserves coins so well.
