According to seller this is PCGS certified. Really? Sure looks just like a coin flip to me. Has PCGS gone ultra-retro?

Man... that label. With that dot matrix printing looks like it was made in the 80's. And what's with that staple right in the middle?!

Prevents people from getting into the graded coin. Its like the hard case model that uses glue and adhesive and protection to show if its been tampered with, except this is their soft case model that has a security staple in it. You can see if its been tampered with.

JK, not sure why they did this

This is as Old School as I have seen in a Long While . People I have known Still do This, Clear 2x2's with staple and would Never, Repeat for some, NEVER slab a coin..... Buy the Coin, Not the slab. Grades were given Long Before Slabs were thought of It clearly could very well be a MS- 64. It still looks Sweet and Authentic !!!! JMO.

The issue is that the seller lists PCGS certification in the description, which is a blatant falsehood.

It's probably an artifact of the listing the seller copied for their item.

I agree. PCGS is not included in the title of the listing or in the body of its description. It can easily be an honest copy-and-paste mistake/oversight - something we've all done!

Removed from ebay so I don't have the opportunity to judge. Also, no-one else has the opportunity to be scammed.
