I sent in my 1986, 87, 88, 89, 90, and 1991 Proof coins 2 days ago via registered mail. I got an email today that they are already in their possession and are in progress to be graded already. I hope for the best.

Starting with all my proofs first. I'm still working on getting all the bullion and burnished ones.

Oooooh this is my favorite part. Unfortunately, I can't send my coins to PCGS for evaluation, so I like to watch other collectors do it. I wish you good ratings, Dearborn.

Let us hope that the grades you get are high enough, such that the values justify the shipping and grading fees.

Thanks everybody - I do hope for high grades, there is a good possibility for this - as all my eagles currently live in their respective OGP capsules. But ya never know until it is done

Dearborn, Are you going to have the 1995-W set graded. I wonder how they do that, maybe like the Old Morgan silver dollars sent by the General Services Boxes, ?They grade the set as a whole ? Thanks in Advance....MD

Yes I will be sending in the entire set to be graded. But I think it has to be in different orders due to the value of each and the material (gold/Silver). When I get to sending that set in, I'll be on the phone and getting that one ready with PCGS help.

Quote:PS, May I ask Your opinion on the Scale grade You feel Your ASE is, It appears Perfect ? It looks pretty perfect to me, but what is PCGS going to look for? I do not know - BUT - I'll put it under my microscope later after dinner and see if I can see anything that could bring it down. Just remember that this coin has always been in its Capsule and I had not ever opened it up, so I'm hopeful. If my 1995-W Proof comes back as a PR70, the value shoots up to about $16,000, but if it is a PR 69 then it drops to about $4,600. According to PCGS 661 have been graded as PR70 and 4896 as PR69, so the odds are against me getting a 70. I would think that on this particular coin the TPG will be very strict in grading it. I plan on sending in that set early next year.

Dearborn, Best Wishes!!! Are you seeking All 70's ? May I ask How the slabs will be displayed? That's a lot of Slabs. Cool Topics.. I wonder what a Full set of ASE's in their OGP'ing would cost to Date, All coins in the Silver Set. I too have the series in their OGP and Love it !!!! Never thought I would collect the Full Series, Just enjoyed the Adventure Too. To each Their own............. PS, Collecting Coin has taken some Hard Twisting Turns, over the Years,.... Blue Whitman Books Seems so Yesterday Too............ Original Intentions change Too....

Well, I'm hoping for all 70's but it will be what it is I guess - I'll figure out what to do later if some come back with a not so desirable grade. The chase to my ASE (and 3 AGE sets) cost me close to $22,000 to get - that includes a lot if the rare ones as well. If you go back to the spreadsheet I posted, you will see that I got about 90% of them in a 2 month span back in 2020
