Does anyone know of any good spots, or better yet does anyone know if it is legal in the area?

I don't know of any good spots since I live in california, but check with the parks and rec office to see if there are any laws regarding md'ing in your area.

Are you thinking in a few months when there's not a few feet of snow.

I'd head to the waterfront.

Beechgrove complex at Portsmouth to lake Ontario park and beyond has a waterfront trail. I've snorkled the waterfront from the psyche ward pier to the park pier, very eerie.

Fort henry although no battle was fought there.

Legally I couldn't say.

G117, hopefully the snow is gone by now lol, did you ever make it out?

Some of the best spots are private yards of the oldest homes or farms in your area.

Yards are one of my best producing back-up places to hit. Gold, silver, relics, you name it.

I suggest seeing if there are any metal detecting clubs in your area. The one by me has claims that they allow the members to use, have raffles, and are a great group of guys and gals (Escondido, ca). I won $100 last week at the monthly meeting.
