Have a 1995 P Kenny half dollar that has no traded edges just smooth. The weight is the same as a normal half dollar 11.2 gams. It's slightly smaller. Any one can help.

@tex, first welcome to CCF. Second, that is mechanical damage. The coin was struck with a reeded edge, but they have been worn off.

That half is certainly damaged. Who knows how, chewed up in a dryer?

Due to the "hammered" look on the edge and the correct weight, I'm thinking Dearborn is right...Spooned.... start of a ring.

@Marve65, That was supposed be, "possibly an acid dipped coin". Sorry, sometimes the fingers and brain just don't coordinate the way they should.

I agree. Spooned or Dryer Coin. The reeding has been removed by damage somehow.
