Received my set on Friday though delivery was not expected until late next week. First item I have ordered from the RCM this year and probably not the last since I am now .05 away from bronze level. Hoping that there will be a special circulation set in June to commemorate the Platinum Jubilee or at least a Coronation set for 2023. I am not surprised the set sold out so quickly as it goes nicely with the 95th birthday set which had a higher (6500) mintage. Should be interesting to see what effect this will have on the retail price.

Funny how this set is selling for over $400 on ebay, $150 above retail and no one is saying anything, this hobby is really dead.

@spacetoyota: I created the thread because I thought the set might prove to be popular. Feel free to express your thoughts about its current market activity - your comments might spark others to join the conversation!

Its too soon to say whether this is a hot coin given there are only a few listings and sales on ebay. The blue Rhodium 5 oz is hot given it has many listings and selling for $250 -$300 above issue price. Also, there is always a handful of coins every year that do very well on ebay; so just because these 2 coins are doing well does not mean the hobby is overall doing well. None of the Jan. and Feb. releases besides these 2 coins have done well on ebay.

For me, I preferred the design of the coins in the joint release from the set last year better. There wasn't much discussion about that set last year. www.mint.ca/store/coins/a-royal-celebration-two-coin-set---mintage-6500-2021-prod3760011

I'm surprised this set is sold out. Monarch theme hasn't done well for many years.

The Mint also created a platinum coin for the same occasion. It is very rare, less than 300 mintage

For billing reasons, I asked that mine be delayed until March. I received it yesterday. So, how much stock do you give a specific COA number? I figure mine #2021 was only off by 1.

If they guaranteed the striking order of the coins, it would be different. As is, a coin struck within the first 100 produced can have a COA with a number in the 1000s. That said, they can make for an interesting conversation topic! Some COA numbers are definitely more interesting than others! Congrats on yours!
