can someone give me some ideas of what photo equipment sellers use for posting coins for sale on ebay? the cell phone works but not as satisfactorily as I'd like. Appreciate what is used and where to find for reasonable cost. Thanks.

I've been watching for when Dansco will start producing their albums again and not finding any information at all. What does the forum know about when they will start manufacturing again? Especially the Jefferson Nickel albums 7113, 8113, etc.?

does anyone have knowledge of when they'll be back in production on their coin albums. All I see at all the distributors is "out of stock".............be nice to know when, or if, they will be producing albums again.

I've often wondered if sellers drive up pricing by also bidding on the coins they post for auction. What is everyone's experience on this?

Farm 1942 here. the $445 roll with the 1909S and VBD on ends I think you referred to was only "presented" as unwrapped previously. I would be greatly interested if any other semi-key or key dates were in the roll. Wonder if who bought it is on coin community? be interesting to know what else was found in the roll. I agree that the who thing with "old bank rolls" seems very fishy to me and if the roll with the 1911D on one end is even in the "Good" category. It seems pretty worn or what can be seen in the picture. I'm appreciative of the feedback and have been very leery of these "sales". I didn't pay much for the experience, $20 or so. Like everyone said, one time for the experience and then that's it for future such purchase thoughts!!

LOL. I saw a "old wrap coin roll with a 1909S showing one end, and a VDB BU showing the other end go for $445 on EBay. Stayed away from that one.............guess it all is what one thinks they need for their collections, huh? That one surprised me as to what it went for.

What has been everyone's experience with buying supposedly old bank wrapped penny coin rolls? I've just tried this for the first time, a labeled old bank wrap Lincoln penny coin roll with a 1911D showing on one side. would like to hear everyone's experience with doing purchases like this and their experience in what they've found when breaking open the rolls. thanks!

would like the communities opinion....pretty positive I got this from a Cheerios box promotion. However, I cannot confirm that the tail feathers are detailed and bold as versus the non- promotion coin that year. Can anyone help me on this per the attached photos. Considerable worth $$ in the balance. Want to be absolutely sure before thinking of whether I have a solid value here or not.

Besides coins I collect money clips. I look for unique ones with different logos, statements on them, designs, etc. I usually pick them up at flea markets buried in with jewelry that they are selling.

thanks everyone. So, based on the answers you are providing, then Nickels and Quarters after 1970 with S mint marks will always be uncirculated coins that one must find not in bank rolls, but via other means, like coin shops, dealers, other collectors, correct? Just so I know when roll hunting.............thanks. Appreciate any confirmation of that statement........

Yeah, I tried to have some nickel bank rolls sent to me via USPS, in one of their flat rate boxes, but the box got opened during its travels within USPS system and the coins all taken. All I got was an empty box............now I'm trying with my Daughter out in Washington to search for individual S minted coins and send them in small lightweight packs, or envelopes.........thanks for the info and I'll keep trying.

maybe someone can explain why, during coin roll hunting, here in the midwest we never can find any S mint mark nickels or quarters? How does anyone else find this situation? and how to overcome it? thanks.

hopefully someone can educate me (being new to this) why 1960, 1970 and 1982 pennies have small dates and large dates? Are small dates worth anything more than the large date pennies? I can't seem to find in numismedia.com answer to this question. thanks everyone in advance for any information so I can understand what to do with the small date pennies...........

think I'm getting somewhere after searching all the forums and other areas in CCF. MS grades are uncirculated, AU grades are VF but right next to MS (uncirculated). The issue is to determine difference between AU58 and the next grade before MS grades. Almost overwhelming!! comments?

I'm trying to learn how to get closer on grading, and my last post had the photos not rotated. So trying again. Someone stated that possibly best grade on this coin was AU58. I'm wanting to learn what made it AU58, and not MS grade........if someone can enlighten me, I'd greatly appreciate the help! Thanks.
