I am not familiar with the series, but if I had to guess, I would say yes.

Remember Proof is not a grade or level of preservation.
It is a method of manufacture.

Of course Albert, I didnt asked about grade, but was wondering if it looks good enough to be proof version. I'm not so familiar with coins from Germany.

Your images show some cameo. I do not know if that is required for a German proof strike, but it is what I see.

I hoped Numista might give a clue, but the past sales images showing cameo are all listed as UNC.

Good catch jbuck. That looks like a glitch in the Numista system, which only allows for grades up to UNC when attaching an auction sale.

This cameo was listed by the seller as a proof: https://katzauction.com/lot/799814

I think the posted coin is proof. A bit confusing to me is that I can also find proofs that look like a broken set, but which are not cameos: https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=10290056

I probably should have taken the extra step to look at the actual auction links.

About half-way down this page, Numista includes pictures of varieties.

I'm wondering if these images are taken from a book written in French and what the book's title and author is.

In an ideal world, that would have had a citation if it were from an external source.

But it's also true in Numista that members put together variety info like that with photos of their own coins.

I can;t tell which it is, but to me it has the feel of a collector description rather than a published reference.
