What's the furthest you've ever traveled to attend a coin show. I live in Southern California and the Long Beach Expo is coming up in a little more than a month. It's about a 45 mile drive. I've never flown to a coin show, as a matter of fact the Long Beach Expo is the only show I can recall ever going to.

I have only been to local shows.

Depending on where I lived in the area over the many years, my drive was 30 miles max.

I live near Chicago. In my younger days I would drive to St. Louis, Indianapolis and Milwaukee all the time.

I lived in Sydney, Australia for most of my life.
However, I lived in Manchester UK 1970-71 and attended coin shows, Bought an 1953 gold dollar for one pound ten shillings cheaply, (with compounded inflation since 1970 : about $25 USD).
I still have it.

I do not think that I qualify for the longest distance to attend a coin show; I was in the UK for different reasons.

Nevertheless,
I was an avid collector even then, with about 80 ancients. including 2 gold coins, an Australian type set of Sovereigns and Half sovereigns comprising 17 coins, including an Adelaide Pound

San Francisco to San Jose, about an hour each way, only once. I've been to a few shows closer to SFO airport (~15 minutes) but those have been getting smaller -- the last one was barely bigger than my living room and had no tables of interest. I'd like to try again but it's hard to get me out of the house and I don't want to waste another trip.

This is funny question for me since it takes 45 minutes to get to the grocery store!

Back on topic, about 3.5 hours each way is my limit for coin shows.

I've been to Baltimore which is 3 hours away. And Mellville Long Island. In each case I made it a date with the wife. So both of us enjoy the trip. In Baltimore we went to the museums and dinner at Phillip's, Melville we went to the Hampton.

True.

I always made an effort to find an LCS to visit whenever I traveled. However, I have never been able to times those trips to a local coin show.

Not bad.

There are a few shows I have always wanted to attend that would be around three hours each way, but I have never been able to schedule them around other obligations.

Last year I traveled 3 hours by plane to the FUN show in Orlando FL, 5 hours by car to the RCNA Convention in Boucherville QC, and 8 hours by car for the ANA World's Fair of Money in Chicago IL.

I tend to not drive more than 45 minutes to shows around my area.

If we are talking about flying someplace and going to a coin shop. I flew to Portugal 3 times and each time going to a coin shop was part of the itinerary, so you can say about 3000 miles to go to a coin shop or 2 or 3. :)

About 20 miles, 35 years ago. Wasn't impressed and never went to another one. Every dealer was an old curmudgeon that had a bad attitude. I a 20 something, obviously couldn't waste their time.

I am sure most if not all of those dealers have passed on by now. Perhaps it is time to give it another go.

It's not entirely relevant to the discussion, but I timed my visit to London, Ontario in 2023 to coincide with the London Numismatic Society club meeting. I didn't travel 15,474 km just to attend a coin club meeting - but it was on the to-do list.
