Hi All,

I got this korean 5 Mun it seems from the Charity with weight 6,91 gram and size 30.6mm .
It looks like KM#77, the 2 mun but the weight is lower and perhaps a dot left added.

May not be a dot since it would be out of place?
Looks like Mandel13.73A.1 as a value 2.
I don't see it as a value 5 in Mandel.

Thank you for your reaction. I think I don't have that book. Which one do you use?
The Krause is not very accurate I guess. Sizes differ to the 2-5 mun according to krause.

@vince, I'm sure that @albert will confirm when they pop back in to CCF and see your reply, but I'm pretty sure that this is the Mandel reference--not sure if there is a printing after 1972:

"If you climb a good tree, you get a push."
-----Ghanaian proverb

"The danger we all now face is distinguishing between what is authentic and what is performed."

It may give some info that is not in Krause.
It mostly shows images of common coins, but maybe not much data about them.
I think it's good for identifying Korean coins.
I don't really don't know how it compares to Krause.
I only see it as a "must have" in my library.

Here some Korean language references that the Koreans themselves use for the early cast coins, along with new English-language references for later-date Korean coins:
