I'm officially 62 years old? young? or young-old?

anyway, spending the day alone at home working on my Great Grandmothers dining room table and chair set.
the table and chair set is about 150 years old, and I'm busy taking the chairs completely apart and re-gluing them because the yare all loose and ready to collapse. I'm also going to re-upholster the chairs as well. And in doing so I found the original fabric and support straps of the chairs when they were made..

Happy Birthday, Dearborn! Mine was back in May, so I have a few months on you. And what a wonderful project! It looks like the furniture found the right home.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Yes, I think it did - My Mother says the same thing - that she is glad I got the set.

(I have seen some other VERY nice furniture from the same time period (long, long time go) go to my Niece - and she just ruined it. I wanted to just cry ..
