I think this one is a Doubled Die Obverse, but I have been wrong so many times before that I would like your opinions.

Its Mechanical Doubling which is quite common for Melbourne mint strikes of this period.

Yeah I know what you mean, I have a box of them.
It was just something about GEORGIVS which struck me as different to the "normal" Mechanical Doubling.

Oh well, I'll keep looking.

I agree. It's Machine Doubling. You can see how the letters are reduced in size and is shelf like in appearance.
