That's a nice way to display it.
Here's my map (don't laugh ). I never added my birthyear world coin set, which will more than double my country count, I think (which is at 19

Alaska, but not the lower 48?

Yeah, the Numista mapping feature has some quirks ... The issuer Russia also includes Alaska, I guess since they owned it until "recently?"
Here's my updated map which includes my birthyear collection, making it a bit less embarassing... It more than triples the number of countries to 66 (I have a few more to add that won;t change the appearance of the map, but will push it up to around 75).

The US bought Alaska from Russia in 1867. I guess "recent" relative to ancients and medievals.

Pretty sure that Russia and Russian Empire were different issues last time I checked. If they've been merged since (and given the recent policy changes I wouldn't rule that out), yeah, that's on Numista's head here.

As of last time I checked, the "Russian Empire" issuer included Alaska (reasonably, since they held Alaska for most of their history) and the "Russia" issuer didn't.

[EDIT: I checked and AFAICT they're still distinct issuers. I'm guessing you have a Russian Empire coin; perhaps one of the Warsaw Mint "types" of the 1850s.]
[EDIT 2: fixed very awkward typo.]

Yep, as usual j1m is right on such matters.

It is indeed my Russian Empire 1852 3 kopeck coin struck in Warsaw, part of my "birthyears" collection: Birthyear and place, or nearly so, of my great-grandfather.

History would suggest you might want to phrase that differently.
