Hello Erafjel, best regards to Sweden, thank you for your reply.
These kind of numismatic covers known as "Numisbriefe" on German language have never been intended to be really sent via Postal Service... they have been issued for collectors and sold out that way... they are some kind of mix of numismatic and philatelic material.

It is real (the coin is and worth $60-$90 in my opinion) and the display is neat so keep it with it. 1970's group apparently and they sold collections of these as well it seems. https://www.ebay.com/itm/402405102970

Hmmmm....Not my collecting area at all!...Must say though the style looks odd I'd expect a more incuse strike on the reverse and the overall fabric looks a bit odd?....Not that sure as the photos are a bit too small.

Thank you, Louisvillekyshop! It looks that has been 2 series, one was named "Great Historic Coins of the World" and another "Great Historic SILVER Coins of the World"... but, seems that both have been distributed in the USA by Franklin Mint. I have found more information on Google, but, the original info has been removed... however, google cachet still works...

filip; I know it actually added no value to the coin itself, but I find it fun that the Franklin Mint first put the coin in these envelopes this way, then found a way to get the country they circulated in to stamp the postage. So the envelopes are pristine, all seem to be, and they have no address to send to, so they could have arranged for postage stamps by sending them to arranged country connections who did them all at once on an agreement with the local post office. I thought at first maybe they got the stamp seals somehow over hear but that letter says they were stamped and post marked in the country they were circulated in. So what a logistical thing to pull off even for the late 1980's getting agents in each country to carry a bunch of these in and arranging this all! And this guy below has tried to sell this about 4 times I can see for $380 the full set, but no takers. What is interesting is there is a different silver ancient Greek than yours, even different stamps. So they were almost randomly putting coin types in these books. https://www.ebay.com/itm/203509919758And notice there were no great historic silver coins in the old Soviet Block countries. Guess the stamping the envelope thing in the late 80's when they were thought up was unable to pull off those countries. 1899 O USA SILVER DOLLAR 1916 FINLAND 25 PENNIA 1867-1967 CANADA 25 CENT 1943 SWITZERLAND 1 FRANC 1933 China 1 YUAN 1938 BRAZIL 5000 REIS 1964 AUSTRIA 5O SHILLING OLY. 1958 SOUTH AFRICA 5 SHILLING 1912 APROX.
