I purchased a 20 coin tube of 2020 S Silver Eagles. They're NGC decaled with Emergency Production ER GEM UNCIRCULATED. My question is, can I and should I send these out for grading? How are tubes graded and identified when they're broken open? There is no mint mark and no designation other than the original NGC labels on the sealed tube.

@rjohnstulsa

I suggest contacting NGC customer service and asking them if they will certify the coins individually as "Emergency Issue". I suspect they will since they are in an NGC sealed "Emergency Issue" tube. But I would not recommend sending those in for individual certification unless you know how to move them for a high premium. The certification fees would be well over $20 each including the special label.

Correct ...you would have to send in the whole tube unopened for this "special" label...it does exist

It would cost $17 x 20 + $5 x20 + $10 + shipping both ways..chances of a profit from selling 20 slabbed bullion ASE's might be slim but you can do the math

MS69's are in the $45-60 range. The 70's have a wide range of prices with a bunch with Mercanti/Trump/etc mudding the group. Hard to tell on that price

Depending on the number of 70's you get it might work..big maybe
