Looks like you didn't take a look at Intercept Shield albums.

My title clearly states that this is only a comparison of Littleton, Whitman and Dansco. So no I didn't look at Intercept Shield. Well actually I did but decided not to buy them as I just felt the shield was a gimmick (I have no evidence or proof it works, well a double blind study with the same coins stored in the same manner, looking different)

@Coins1989:

Thanks for the heads-up about Subway's sale! I called up and ordered a few things from them, including three new Dansco albums. The prices are very nice as are the proprietors.

Unfortunately, I won't get a nice package like that - mine is coming UPS.

They are the next state over so it's probably quicker and cheaper to ship USPS :)

I consider one more item when deciding which album to purchase.

Color of the pages. Blue seems to make SLQ's POP off the pages, especially in AU or UNC condition.

Same with any copper cents with a touch of red or more to experience.

Yep, color is important. I like silver coins on the blue Whitman folders. I may purchase a Whitman folder for my Peace dollars :)

And don't forget, Whitman is really now Harris and made in China.

I was wondering why there were so many typos on the pages of the ATB Quarter albums..

I actually have a positive to add to Whitman customer service. One of the pages in my Whitman walking liberties set , the blue paper came loose, also happened on my Dansco Peace dollar album. I contacted Whitman and they are sending me a new page for free. So another positive for Whitman. I'll try to reach out to Dansco if they ever start up again album production.

I have never really liked albums, where you press the coin into a recess with a finger or thumb.
Why?
1. You can only see one side of the coin.
2. A red unc coin will have fingerprints on it.

Albums with a slide window are OK, but if there is any debris or particles between the window and coins, the coins can be scratched, and the plastic slide bar scratched / streaked also.

I have never seen a really excellent storage / display approach for an album for date sets.

I have long since given up, and just put coins in 2x2's, into non PVC album pages, in 4 ring album binders.
I have never done slabs, so such a system is fine for all coins, irrespective of value, size or condition.
Far less space efficient, and not nearly so pretty, but that is just the way it is.

While Whitman customer service is excellent one page in their Walking Liberty series keeps coming apart. Just this album, so it may be an issue with the glue or this group of pages had issues. For now I would probably skip Whitman for Walking Liberties (only), I ended up taping it to keep it from loosening more. Also happening on top.

Same thing happened on the Dansco, but I got that one used and its probably 20 years old, wasn't expecting it on a brand new album. If this happens on other pages I may move up Littleton to 2nd place.

You might need to take a break between pages!

The energy from your excitement is getting transferred into the page turns!
