Hi! So I just got a usb microscope...looking at a small collection my mom has kept....I know this is an error but wht kind? Past month I've been learning alot about double dies and varieties...I do believe I also see doubling of the eagle's beak, but the entire torso/ wings are more apparent. Also an extra piece of metal above the eagle? Doubling also seen on the obverse.

The eagle has two eyes though, am I seeing that right!? I love this quarter lol.

Has anyone ever seen an error like this? Any input helps thank you! :)

to CCF. It is a S mint not a D as your title reads. I am seeing a well used coin with circulation damage not a variety. Wait a bit for the pros to chime in.

To CCF! Just a heavily circulated and worn out coin. No errors here. Just PSD. It's still 90% Silver at least.

Thanks guys!! Oh ya S not D! :p

ya...I can stare at a coin for hours and turn something normal into something magnificent lol. It does have odd raised areas though, such as between the legs (hard to tell with 2d image) and near the date, are those things that happen with wear? Maybe Die Deterioration around those areas, making them look raised? thank you so much!

On the eagle's chest I see a little boy sitting by the lake playing with a fish.

The mark on the neck looks like another coin slid it reeds across that area, damaging the coin.
