We are planning to publish the second edition of the coin catalog: Dzmitry Huletski, Giedrius Bagdonas "Lithuanian Coins 1495-1536 Second Edition" in 2025. You can see the project of the cover of the future book, author Vilma Sungaile, in the picture.

I appeal to the numismatist community. If Your collections contain Lithuanian coins of 1495-1536 not described in numismatic literature, please send us their photos, we can publish them in the new book with Your names as the owners of the coins, if You wish. Thank You.

In exchange I offer more than 500 films on the numismatics of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania (in Lithuanian with Russian titles) https://www.youtube.com/@vilniuscoi...a4032/videos

Pre-order the book and place an ad in the book https://contribee.com/lithuaniancoins

@gied, congratulations on needing to produce a second edition of this work. I see that you have slightly widened the date range, but I'm wondering if you can share with us how this new edition improves on the first edition. Are there a lot more coins included or does it cover more denominations, or is it something else? Thx. I know that the first edition was really great.

After the first edition of the book, we worked with the Lithuanian coins of Alexander Jagiellon and Sigismund the Old for another three years. It's still a work in progress, but the book will include many more coin varieties. By the way, the book will also contain a coin from Your collection, thank You again for that. The classification of coins will be clarified and the catalog will definitely be of a higher quality. It is true that since the volume of the book will increase, we will inevitably make the paper of the book thinner for the convenience of the readers, but I think this will not harm the quality of the book.

I never checked to see if all of my coins (halfgroats only) are already covered in the first book, but I will try to do that soon.
I don't expect to find anything special.

Dear colleagues, our work on the new book has reached its zenith. You can see more about it in this playlist https://www.youtube.com/playlist?li...6jMaZT4yG743

We want to be able to submit the book to the publishing house this year, it will be printed only next year. Therefore, I kindly ask you to pay attention to several nuances.

1. I know that some of the coins whose photos we published in the old yellow book have changed owners. I am asking the new owners (who have not already done so) to contact us and let us know if you want your name and surname under the pictures of the coins and not the previous owner's name.

2. If you have Lithuanian coins from 1495-1536 in your collections, not described in the old yellow book or described on a gray background (without pictures), please send us their photos. There is an option to print your name as the owner of the coin under the photos in the book.

3. If you want your numismatic advertisement to be printed in the book (the well-known Numista numismatic web portal and several international numismatic online auctions have already ordered an advertisement in the future book), you want to pay in advance for a copy of the future book or simply support the publication of the book, see https:// contribee.com/lithuaniancoins

You have no more than a couple of months to contact us about material for the new book. Later, the book material will be given to the publisher and it will not be possible to supplement it.
