I thought it might be fun to see everyone's U.S. sets in the original government packages (OGP) Some new collectors may not have seen all the options, so I thought it might be nice to have one thread to show what all the options are. I have a problem with wanting to break them apart, when I get them, but recently I have been wanting to save some, or leave them together for future selling. Does not matter if they get posted more than once. I am hoping to get as many members as possible, because not many will have all the different options/sets that are out there. Let me start with a couple easy ones. 1955 was a split year for how the proof sets were issued. there was the box set. (Box was also in prior years) Mid year 1955 the mint switched to the flat pack. Let's see what you have

There are a lot of different sets for commemorative coins Here is 1997 and 2001 coin and currency sets. The 1997 has the 1997 Botanic Gardens UNC dollar and the 1997 matte proof matte proof nickel, only 25,000 sets sold. (only way mint issued the key matte proof nickel) The 2001 coin and currency set came with the very popular UNC buffalo commemorative dollar This coin (below) came from the set 1997 set above This coin came from the 2001 set

Well that about sums it up, I think you covered just about all of them All of those sets look to be in great shape and very pristine. I like the Lincoln coin and chronicle set along with many other sets you have pictured.

I think you forgot Kennedy. My pics aren't the best but they get the point across. Here it is completely unfolded... and it folds into a triangle if you want to display it.. Enjoy
