Sigma tested, not my usual type but wanted to expand a bit! I tried to pick the nicest of the lot. Thanks in advance as always.

I personally can't grade from all that light reflection. All the potential contact marks are blinded out.

I am at MS-63, none of the rays are broken.

These pics do not show much luster.
I hope that it is there, when seen in hand

I can't see much luster leading me to believe it's been improperly cleaned. The color looks off as well and there are numerous small contact marks.

It's a common date worth melt value assuming it's genuine, which I think it is. I'd call it UNC Details - Altered Surfaces.

When it comes to classic gold coins now a days there is no such thing as selling them at "Melt value"!

I buy them at melt value all the time. This coin is worth it's gold content and no more.

You can buy MS63 common date Saints for 1% or 2% over melt and this one has problems.

As noted above, top tier certified MS63 Saints are selling for $2600 with melt at $2540. I have a dealer that buys 5% to 10% under melt and sells them to me for melt.

Problem $20 Double Eagles are not worth more than melt and it would be foolish to buy a raw one for more than that.

I buy from Trademark Coins & Currency because I trust them. The $60 over will be worth your while.

The point is common date raw $20 Double Eagles, particularly problem pieces, have zero numismatic value.

Make a melt value offer for any of these and many more in the listing. He's asking $65 over melt and I'm certain you'll come to an agreement a few bucks over melt. I've been buying and selling pre-33 gold for 20 years. Premiums on generic G$20 have been nil with gold at the prices it's been. Go shopping.

Same seller is asking 1% over melt for these ($2565). Offer melt ($2540) and I'm sure he'll take it.
