So how much was the vault box? None of the coins posted are super rare are even expensive. Looks like $500 in coins. I'm being generous on the coins, nothing I would want for my collection.

What was the buy back? So for $597 you got what in buyback?

Good question. Kind of a silly topic unless we see everything you got and the price you paid.

Buyback is not relevant, I am not selling back to them.

Is there a chart that relates the new NGCX grades to the old Sheldon scale? So for example, is a 9.4 grade on NGCX scale equal to a 64 on the Sheldon scale?

Buyback is kind of important, if you pay $597 and got $300 in buyback you way overpaid, if it's like $450 (my expectations) you still overpaid, but not as bad as $300.

I consider this a gimmick, but if you like it, totally fine with you liking it.

@ hfjacinto...or...jimbucks
I thought vaultbox was $199.00 a box which contains 3 slabbed (NCGX) coins.
If so, that I'd say he made out very well.....I'm not a fan of their grading system...but I get the reasoning behind it.

Jimbucks...nice coins....

It's not for me - BUT, why publicly (forumly) cut down jimbucks for what he likes to do?
I like (not) the people that cut him down by saying he overpaid then say - "but if that's what you like!"
I don't know what you paid, what they are worth and nor do I care to but looks like very nice coins and if that's what is fun about coin collecting to you then that is great!

I'm also curious what all is included in the vault box and prices.

@greasy vault box used to be between $500 and $700 in which you got 3 coins, mostly stabbed ASE and a chance at a red box coin that would be worth significantly more.

The prices on vault box got significantly higher (over $1000) and the red box coin got also more valuable. What you gambled on was getting a red box, I believe every 10-20 vault box has a red coin that means that 9 or 19 had basically coins not worth much and every 10th or 20th had a valuable coin. You are basically gambling with really bad odds that you would get a premium coin.

The latest vault box is that you get only 1 coin per box and it most likely will be a regular coin. Some of them have a red box.

@marve65, I actually have disdain for the vault box, it plays to the gambler or the lottery player that they will get a premium coin, you don't know what you get or whether it's even part of your collection, so yes I thinks it dumb, but if you enjoy it, it's not me to dissuade. My personal feeling is that vault box is a waste of money, It caters to the instant gratification and social media crowd. That's my opinion. Not everyone will agree.

Heck I think that the Privy star ASE is also dumb but lots of people collect them. I'm just not the target audience.

Also didn't you post 3 different times how vault box was a "get rich scheme", so didn't you also publicly put down these? I can post a link if you forgot.

Very interesting. The coin is not bad. Better than the game token I expected.
