As a long-time Buffalo Bills fan, their last couple games were disappointing after a strong start to the season. But I'm looking forward to the upcoming Bills-Jets Monday Night Football game on October 14. So I'm going to celebrate my 5000th post by having a contest to predict the outcome of this game. The rules are simple. Guess the winner and the total points scored in the game. You cannot guess the same points total as someone else who picks the same team, and no changing your prediction once you've posted it. As a tiebreaker, also guess how many passing yards the winning quarterback will have. If you correctly predict which team wins, the person who comes closest to the actual points total wins the prize. If two people tie on the winner and total points (either over or under), the tiebreaker will come into play. You must have a minimum of 50 posts to enter and a mailing address in the USA. The prize is shown below, in recognition of the Bills, an uncirculated 1937-P Buffalo nickel. Enter your guesses here any time before the contest deadline, 12 noon EDT on Monday, October 14. Bills, 36 total points in a low scoring affair (Bills 23-13). Josh Allen passed for 232 yards.

I'm glad that many of you have confidence in the Bills, and they are a slight favorite, but don't forget that your chances of being closest to the total points will depend on how many people choose the winning team. Both teams have been somewhat inconsistent this year, so it's really a toss up!
