Just going thru the riggers of setting up an ebay selling account.

OMG, like every time I click a button it asks me to sign in and 2FA again!!!

I cannot emphasize how infuriating it is. Nothing wrong with my browser, cookies have been flushed and renewed several times.

ebay sellers, is this seriously the normal day to day in the ebay world or possibly just because my account is relatively new and I have to prove myself to these corrupt mob bosses?

Doesn't sound right to me, but it has been many years since I set up my ebay accounts.

Happens to me with my health account with local hospital. Every time I login, every time I change a setting, want to download medical document, pay a bill I have to do 2FA again while inside my account. I can only completely turn on/off 2FA for everything or nothing. I'm all for 2FA for security, bank accounts, etc. but seems silly to require it after logging in. Contact ebay support and ask about it.

Are you using a VPN? I don't know much about that stuff anymore but it seems like perhaps with every connection you're making it thinks it's coming from a new IP address. Another thought is maybe your browser is set to not allow cookies from that site.

2FA can definitely be infuriating. I went overseas last summer and I could not connect to my email without going through 2FA because I was WiFi connected in a different country. My cellphone didn't work so I could not get the texts for the code. I was able to call them on my wife's phone and confirmed my identity to them every which way, but they would not budge on changing the 2FA recipient to a phone that worked nor any other way to let me in. I finally had to set up a time for our housesitter to answer our landline and relay the code to my wife via text.

I figured it out.

Long story short, don't have an active session that does federated authentication (GMail, Facebook, etc..) while you have an active ebay session that uses simple USERID/PASSWORD. ebay tries to hijack that cookie and use it as you traverse their environment. As soon as I closed my active SquareSpace (federated GMail) session, problems stopped.

Probably just a "FEATURE" from ebay. snicker...snicker...
