I like the idea of these coins but the pricing of these with the added costs of getting them over to the UK made me had to pass on these coins.

Postage: You will be charged $17.90 plus a $2.95 handling fee per item for the United States Mint's International Shipping option.

Let's say I buy both the proof half dollar and silver dollar coins.

Coins: $131
Shipping: $23.80

When it arrives in the UK, I will have to pay 20% tax: $30.96 and Royal Mail typically charges an £8 which is around $10.15 handling fee.

Exchange rate on credit cards are not always that good and a typically 2.99% foreign transaction fee - around $4.63.

This would come to be around $200.54 while if I was in the USA my cost would be $136.95....a savings of $63.59.

Sales not very strong for this or the Tubman commeratives. I bought the unc half and dollar before the pre-sales discount goes away on 3/29.

April 5, but in the cart it says the "expected in-stock date is" June 6.
I did a search and the only date I can see now is they are going to be shipping on 4/5.

The authorization charge has already expired from my credit card. The actual charge usually appears when they ship.

I just got a charge for part of my order — the proof silver dollar. I logged into my account, the proof half dollar still shows as back-ordered.

I have been charged for my proof dollar and the half is on backorder...

But I got an email from the Mint that my order can't be fulfilled.

I called and apparently they're sending out the wrong email-- instead of shipping emails they're sending out ones that say orders can't be fulfilled.

I just got the same email!

I am glad you already called. I did not want to spend the time doing it.

Being "on the phone" got me out of a meeting I didn't want to go to....

They didn't need to know who I was calling
