I'm a little confused as to which date we are on today, so forgive me if this post is later or earlier than it should be. I have this Akce dated (8)34 AD, which I believe we determined previously corresponds to 1431-1432 AD.

We're on 1430, and 834 AH converts to 1431 (it's actually 1430-1431, but mostly in 1431), so it's a little later but works well enough (as I've mentioned multiple times, catch-ups are no problem here, especially such minor ones).

For some reason I thought it was @jbuck's coin... fortunately I never mentioned that directly! Either way, nice to see it posted.

And excellent coins from @bd251 as well! I wonder what's up with those silvered faluses.

Current list of missing dates: 1464, 1463, 1462, 1457, 1454, 1446, 1436, 1435, and we've got everything past that so far.
I wonder how many would be missing when we get past 1400 (a month from now) - I think the 1430-1400 period has fairly good dated-coin coverage, but I'd be surprised if it's as good as the (currently) 27/31 coverage in the 1460-1430 range. (IIRC it should pick up more at 1400-1370, ironically enough.)

Ok thx for the clarification both as to what date is today and what AD date that Acke most closely tracks.

Me too. Lol. I've mentioned before that GG suggest that the silvering is modern but I'm still unsure what the purpose would be.

@Spence that's a nice coin with its nearly complete design and prominent date. It did take me a minute to recognize the 4 after seeing 83, since it's styled in a somewhat odd way that disguises it with all the other writing I can't read.

Thx @bd! Here is my entrant for 1429 AD: a Körtling from Göttingen (Levinson I-24):

Beautiful coins!
Especially that körtling - IIRC the type continued with similar designs into the 16th century.

No change in missing dates: 1464, 1463, 1462, 1457, 1454, 1446, 1436. (Though we're now at 1428 and that one would join the missing dates if an example doesn't show up.)

I haven't been able to identify the countermark yet. There are similar examples on zeno.ru but it seems like mine is mostly off-flan, adding to the difficulty.

@Spence: I love those little kortlings. It would be fun to try to put together a full set of those.

Any ideas why there are multiple varieties/IMs that year? (Different engravers? Mintmasters?) I bet there are more varieties in the series that Levinson & Schrock haven't identified yet.

I think that we are on 1425 for today, but I'm on the sidelines until I can post my 825 AH (~1422 AD).

Good question, but sorry that I don't have a good answer for you. With Levinson, it seems like there are minor differences in inscription generally lumped together under the same number. It wouldn't surprise me though if you weren't right that there are others still un-cataloged.

My calculations say 1424 for 26th and 1423 for 27th, but yes, 1422 day would be on Saturday (December 28th).

Currently missing dates: 1464, 1463, 1462, 1457, 1454, 1446, 1436, 1428, 1426, 1424. (I don't suppose anyone here has a Swiss 1424?)
