Is This A Minting Error.2009 $2 - Coin Community Forum

Ham New Member Australia 2 Posts	Posted 09/11/2024 12:54 am Hello! Does anyone know if the discolouration on this 2009 $2 is a minting error? Its so perfectly centered and round! Its about the same size as the smaller centers on some of the coloured $2's. Also it seems to go over the indigenous elder but under the '2'. Curious. Report this Post to the Staff

Being centred and round would just be coincidental as coloured $2 coins didn't appear until 2012. There does however appear to be a small lamination error on the obverse.
