Thanks. A couple of years ago it was common to find 40 to 50 'keepers' from a bag of $2 coins. These days it is down to around 10 or so usually. This week's noodle was particularly unusual and rewarding.

I seem to find heaps of 2020 olympic $2 "dedication" coins (so many that they are almost a 'pest') but hardly any 2020 "firefighter" $2 coins. I guess that is just a product of their original distribution from the RAM? Anyway back to the hunt. Happy noodling everyone and good luck.

Believe it or not - a second mule in the same noodle!

That's unheard of since the days of the Great Mule Hunt in Perth back in the early 2000's.

How big was this noodle? (20 thousand coins or more?)

Maybe someone's collection was raided and dumped...

Hi MachinMachinMan, those two mules were found while noodling through two bags of $1 coins, or 1000 coins. I usually get one or two bags of $1 coins each week.

I seem to find a lot of coins in particularly good condition and given their age (e.g. the 1984 MOR in perfect condition) I wouldn't be surprised if these coins were out of someone's collection.

Sadly, my days of noodling Aussie coins have ceased now that work has changed my hours. The one CBA bank near home that had a coin dispensing machine is now closed by the time I go past. Another branch I used to get bags from closed some time ago. Oh well.
