Reminds me the the 2012 Perth Mint 1oz Dragon silver coin rage of 2012 - prices went off the charts for a while close to or over $400 at the time - now you can pick them up in the low $100's - I think the same will happen to this coin but even worse as it is not even made from a precious metal

No, they're made from pure, unadulterated, sugary sentiment. A much more volatile commodity.

My wife and I tried the EQL ballots at 3 different places. 24 attempts - not one win. Yet some sellers on ebay have multiples of 20 or more. What is going on behind the scenes? Fairness and equal chance doesn't seem to the the case. Very disappointing

Really? If some ebay sellers have 20 or more then either they had multiple successful EQL accounts or they get their coins directly from RAM. Where else could the coins come from in such a short time? Wouldn't be the first time ebay sellers get multiple coins immediately after release. Wonder how much longer this will go on?

It could be a case of 'not what you know, but who you know'?

I've just received the order form for the 2024 Baby Set but can't find any info on it. If it's just a regular BU set with a special "baby token" then I won't bother. For some reason the RAM site is saying I don't have permission to access the web page about the Baby Set. Hmmmm...

Maybe the ebay dealers have got ' order forms ' as David Graham got for the 2024 Baby Sets?

I have seen many of these 'Bluey' non coloured coins for sale now on ebay that state them as 'Unreleased'.
How the h.ll do these people get the coins so early ?
As far as I know RAM have not even stated that these coins are being put into general circulation?

Can't find this coin in the 'Currency Amendment Determination Act', in the Federal Register of Legislation.

currency determination no 3 for 2024
145 Reverse R46
A design consisting of:
(a) the character Bluey, from the animated television series, Bluey, playing with a balloon (frame from Series 1, Episode 3: 'Keepy Uppy', 2018); and
(b) the following (in a stylised form):
(i) "BLUEY"; and
(ii) "BUCK"; and
(iii) Arabic numerals for the amount, in dollars or cents, of the denomination of the coin, followed by "DOLLAR", "DOLLARS" or "CENTS" as the case requires.

There is another 9 $1 bluey coins that are not coloured as well.
Also the 10 coins have envelope privy which is usually PNC's from Australia Post.

All the listings I have seen on ebay are from sellers in NSW.

WOW
Thanks, jens coins
No silver?
Sent a message to an ebay seller of these coins and replied that got them from insider from ' a mint'.
Said release was September.
At least these coins will have a chance to get to the future kid collectors
Also.... I have tried numerous times to send emails to 'hello@ramint.com au' about these coins on ebay far from release day and all messages fail to send?
Could someone help get an answer as to why these coins are available to buy before release from the RAM by sending an email to them. Thanks.

First of all, I wish the Australian currency determinations were more like the Canadian ones which are easy to read.

No, there will be a coloured silver coin according to the determination.

item 59: $1 At least 99.9% silver
11.66 ± 0.30 25.20 3.25 S1 E3 O1 R56 29/04/2024

I have heard that Australia Post are releasing 10 x $1 Bluey coins in a tube in September with the random chance of 2 of them being coloured coins.
Also 2 non coloured coins thru the till at Australia Post.

Wondering how many the dealers have held onto to sell in the future for exorbitant prices?

I will bet my left testicle that they will be back in stock at some coin dealers soon.

Coin Collect ...AKA ...Smartdog on ebay , have heaps coming up for auction in the next few days.
Not 'sold out' at all.
