Well, found the second thing I don't like about Managed Payments. You have to wait to get your money. Normally when someone buys from me, as soon as payment is confirmed I wrap the item up and get it in the mail, often the same day. Now I have to wait a couple days to get confirmed payment. So I now have a coin sitting out waiting. It was bought early Saturday; with PayPal it would have been in the mail the same day. But no proof of payment yet. BTW, the first thing I don't like is shipping small, inexpensive items. I don't ship items like that with tracking; helps keep the cost of S&H down. Someone bought some stamps from me. As usual I popped them into and envelope and dropped them into the mail. Now ebay is bugging me to mail them. I'm beginning to think my tenure on ebay could be drawing to a close. I started in 1999. |

I'm holding out until the very last day I can do it - which is this Thursday. I figured it was not going to be good for sellers. What this means personally is I will have to change my terms and conditions. I've been shipping the next business day after receiving payment. Now I'm going to have to wait until I have the money in my bank account, which sucks for my buyers.

I am seeing more Etsy sellers on ebay with ridiculous coins and fake errors at crazy prices.. ebay needs to get a handle on it. |

I posted an item about two weeks ago and marked it as dispatched. Like Kanga's, it was a low value item and I just posted it in the regular mail with a second-class stamp. But when I log on to ebay on my desktop I still get a message coming up when I click on the bell telling me to post it and directing me to the page where you pay for postage! However, when I look at the 'ended items' page, the item clearly shows as dispatched! I agree that ebay seems to be getting worse every time some 12-year-old geek in their HQ decides to force yet another 'great new idea' on its sellers! |

Really it is all pretty simple. We either comply to ebay's ways of doing things or we vacate the ebay sand box. I left the sand box and haven't looked back. I don't miss it. |

@ westernsky ...... We are close as well as the never ending saga from ebay continues ! What a horrible company to deal with ! I guess ebay will eventually self destruct due to the Managed Payments disaster along with all the other stuff over the past years . Seller friendly hardly ! |

I went into Managed payments on April 12th, kicking and screaming.. Well I little over 5 weeks in, and I can honestly say it is not as bad as I was expecting.. Payouts are set to daily for me..But ebay doesn't send payouts on the weekends. So most payouts clear in 24 hours, then are dispatched to my bank, and all of them have got to me, within 24 hours of being dispatched. So once it shows you item is ready to ship, you are good to ship.. |

My understanding was that Friday (May 21) was the last day, so I did the changeover. As I understand it, I will save 0.65% in fees, since ebay charges 12.35%, and previously I paid ebay 10% and PayPal 3%. Not a big deal, but at least it's not worse. But that indeed, ebay holds the money for a couple of days before I get it. I had my shipping/handling time set to 3 days, so I'll move it to 5, and try to beat it most of the time. Will see how it goes. |

Are they ( ebay) forcing all sellers over to this system? Is that why my coins are taking longer to be delivered? |
