@ Oriole,

We did have the provincial/ territorial series in 1992 (12), plus the month series (24 for 1999 and 2000), so that is a fair number

Thanks for reminding me about those. I still need 1992 Yukon and Alberta, but I have the rest. I hope you don't release an alphabet series, they are a pain to collect. :)

Steve :)

No Letters but it's always nice to pick up one of these! 2016 50th Anniversary of Decimal Currency - low mintage (0.56m)
Very nice!

I used to get them out of pocket change, or as new issue from the till at the Post Office.
I have an incomplete set of 22 of them, but I haven't seen any more in pocket change for some months, and feel sure that I will be unable to complete my set from the pocket change source.
The missing coins would have to come via purchase from a coin dealer or on line, but I really would like to keep
myself from cheating, and obtain at face value only.
I have fun in the Coin Hunt as intended.

Actually the Poms pinched the idea from Australia who did it with the set of Animal Alphabet coins released in 2015,2016 & 2017. Although those ones were NCLT.

As a late comer to the scene I'd never heard of the Animal Alphabet coins. At $50 a coin or $1200 a set I'm not surprised. I'll go half way and say OK, Australia came up with the alphabet idea but UK came up with the idea of making it fun to collect and not just for the uber-rich.

Does swapping coins count as cheating?

Seems like a fair assessment.

Our RCM is quite busy issuing many others so I suspect that this is not coming soon.

if they did, I would probably just buy a set, since I haven't used coins in quite some time.

When they first came out they were only $15 per coin and the RAM did a discount if you bought the whole set of 26. I did buy all 26 of the 2015 ones but gave the 2016 & 2017 ones a miss as they were just the same coin with a different date. You are right thought they are very expensive to get hold of now.

100th $100

What better way to celebrate 10 000 coins noodled then to find two Letters, especially when one is one that I need!

2019 A to Z - 'B' for Boomerang (the one I needed) and 'R' for Royal Flying Doctor Service

2019 IRB effigy

1988 Australian Bicentenary - has faired well!

This leaves only 1 Letter to find - 'A' for Australia Post ... maybe I'll get real lucky and find one with the elusive envelope privy mark!

101st $100

Another Letter but not the 'A' that I'm needing to complete the set!

2019 A to Z - 'R' for Royal Flying Doctor Service (that makes two in a row)

2016 50th Anniversary of Decimal Currency (I'm surprised with the number of these that are turning up considering only 0.56m were minted)

2019 AUS - 'S' privy mark

2019 JC effigy

2019 IRB effigy

2015 ANZAC - lowest mintage in this series

2009 MOR - nice condition

1998 MOR - nice condition

Just the Letter 'A' to find!

No Letters today!

2019 AUS - 'A' & 'U' privy marks

2019 JC effigy - looks like it's had a hard life!

2019 IRB effigy

2011 CHOGM - nice condition

Still 1 Letter to go!

Not sure whether you mean the coin or HM QE2!
