I just received the package back that january1may had won in the giveaway. It was mailed January 18th. He's in the Russian Federation. Has anyone seen him around or has he been unwillingly disconnected? Bummer.

I am, in fact, still around! Thanks for the notification, I've been wondering what happened to my package.
(I never received an arrival notice, nor any tracking numbers, so I didn't know if I should look for it.)

As far as I'm concerned, it being back is good news. I was worried that it might be stuck in limbo in Russia; my estimates said that it would most likely arrive in mid-February, stamped for return to sender in mid-March, and be undeliverable by then due to post disruptions, and I had no idea what happens to return-to-sender post that can no longer be returned to sender. (Google tells me it's destroyed after 6 months.)

If at any point in the future my situation changes in ways that would allow sending the items to me again, I would try to remember and notify you. I doubt it would be this year, but, depending on where I end up, with some luck it could be next year.
