More mint sport. The die has been clashed on purpose to prove its a 10 cent die. The real mule is the mint worker who did this.

Anyone seen another yet? So far it looks like just the one.

Neither have I (yet anyway) - none listed in the last annual report thought the 2020 IRB $1 coins are likely to be 2020 JC $1 coins in reality.

Is security at the RAM really so pathetic that workers can knock up any kind of "rare error" coin they want and just wander out with them shoved in their boots?

Looks like it - 2014 ANZAC dollar mule, 2015 dollar mule, 2020 dollar mule, 2020 Olympic two dollar mule and maybe some double headed coins in more recent time (and maybe some others I'm forgetting).

Strange that we haven't heard of any more of these coins now that the continent is flooded with 2020 MORs.
Come to think of it, haven't heard of any die-clashed 2020 ten cent coins either...

I am inclined to agree that it may be a yet another Mint employee 'inside job', with the background that the first 2000 mule is now quite valuable, with an established auction record.

The question is, and after serious consideration, would anyone here be prepared to buy it? Certainly not me, with all the doubts as to it's authenticity.
