it looks like either the white prongs of NGC or a cheap generic slab

That is PCCB

the seller, the coin itself, and it's provenance, all need to be independently verified

This seller takes absolutely no responsibility for what he sells - and the ridiculous disclaimer on all his auctions is proof of that.

this one looks OK to me

The symmetry of the 0 is wrong and the coin is suspect.

Why on Earth would anyone want to be offering a coin of this value on ebay?

It happens all the time, esp. the last 10 years or so on ebay Oz. when the Chinese fakes started to appear in numbers.
I think the rationale is that a wood-duck will think its genuine at that price and spend their tax refund(lottery win or whatever) on it.
Plenty of egs. of Sellers going for the one off big kill with a fake/stolen Coin.

I have to agree with coinOS
The last digit of the date '0' looks wrong. (altered)

Whatever the reputation of the slab it happens to be,
that reputation also has to be brought into serious question.

I think CoinOS is correct about it being a PCCB slab. I wouldn't call that companies reputation into doubt as it has no reputation

I do not know how the seller of that 1930 penny keeps a 100% score.. Have seen negitive feedback on his score only later to see that it has been removed...?

The seller has added five thousand dollars which is entirely reasonable given the work involved in relisting and emotional distress he must have endured on being accused of the unthinkable.

Red flags abound in this ;listing. Among them:

"May not ship to United States"

Why?

"ANY THIRD PARTY OPINION OFFERED (relating to such product) SUBSEQUENT TO THE COMPLETION OF THE TRANSACTION WILL BE DEEMED INVALID, IRRELEVANT AND OUTSIDE THE REALM OF SAID TRANSACTION."

In other words, if NGC or PGCS were to later "bodybag" it, he thinks he bears no responsibility or liability.

He thinks wrong.

AFFIRMATIVE..EBAY does not give a crap because they make heaps of money from his sales..And same here, I have reported him and nothing is done.He dips his coins and doctors his banknotes. Also has a contact for fakes in China..A Real Piece of Work..Needs to spend the rest of his life with a limp and a lisp...
