Well that Nero is pretty great @era.

As promised, here is a Denarius of Vespasian minted in Rome between 69 and 71 AD. The edge chip is a little unfortunate, but the scowl is unmistakably Vespasian. I have attributed it as RIC 29.

I've also got a Prutah from the 1st Revolt of the Jews. It is dated year 2, which corresponds to 67-68 AD. I have attributed it as Hendin 661.

For the decade of the 50s, I have this Indoparthian Tet that was minted in Taxila. It was issued under the authority of King Abdagases between 55 and 65 AD. It is attributed as MAC 2608/9.

I know I'm three hours too late, but because no one else posted a coin of him, here's my Galba denarius for the 60s.

The colors are an artifact of my awkward photography setup. If/when I get back home to Moscow I'll try to take better pics.

I do apparently have a coin for the 50s, but the attribution is shaky and the photos absolutely illegible. Maybe I'll post it anyway.

OK, here's my (probably) 50s AD coin...

Claudius (41-54 AD), AE as
(?) RIC 111 = Numista 246996
(?) 50-54 AD (per OCRE, which admittedly also calls it a dupondius)

Attribution in this thread. I'm not sure if I ever tried to take better photos of this coin; if so, I don't seem to recall it.

Yes this is well beyond my pay grade for identification @j1m. Hopefully one of our Roman experts will weigh in, but even if not then we will drop back to the decade of the 40s tomorrow.

Glad to have your participation @ttk and it fits right in since no one has posted a coin from the decade of the 40s yet. Well done!

Another thread bump as I'm looking forward to someone posting their coin minted starting in the decade of the 40s AD.
