I love the Cameo affect between the field and the canoe/island. Is there anything special with this coin?

Sorry to bother. I'm only in my 20s and I rarely collect things from the 1960s.

That is called a PL ( Proof Like) set packaged in pliofilm which were issued between 1961-1967.

They were usually struck from fresh business strike dies
so they are not actual proof coins. PL was not a RCM term
but a name given by collectors at the time to differentiate
between regular business strikes and the newly packaged coins.
There were nearly three million such sets minted in 1965
the most of any PL set. This was due to the US market
demand for silver coins after the discontinuation of US
silver coins in 1964.

No need to apologize for your age and collecting things from the 1960s. Coin collecting can take you waaaaaaay back, if you let it.
