JimmyD Bedrock of the Community Canada 19864 Posts	Posted 02/20/2025 06:52 am That is called a PL ( Proof Like) set packaged in pliofilm which were issued between 1961-1967. They were usually struck from fresh business strike dies so they are not actual proof coins. PL was not a RCM term but a name given by collectors at the time to differentiate between regular business strikes and the newly packaged coins. There were nearly three million such sets minted in 1965 the most of any PL set. This was due to the US market demand for silver coins after the discontinuation of US silver coins in 1964.
