1971 Half Dollar Doubling? Wexler?

I saw someone else showing a wexler coin recently and it made me realize that I might have one.?

I agree the I seems like series doubling. The Y could be from a circulation hit although it does look similar to the Stage B listing on Variety Vista. can't really tell from the pics provided but look closely at TRUST. That seems to be the easiest place to see split serifs.

never heard of 'series doubling' before, but it does look doubled - nice split serifs.

The 1971 half dollar has a master die for P,D,S. This die was used in 1971 and 1972 witch made is series doubled. The die also has the ODV-003 (strong R). The CONECA description is, light spread on last 1 of date and Y of LIBERTY with rotation on I of IN, TRUST, and E and T of LIBERTY. Yours does not match the series doubled half, yours is the ODV-002 (weak R). Yours seems to me has having very minor doubling.
