I was wondering about a book on error coins? I'm currently considering "The Comprehensive U.S. Error Coin Handbook" Is this any good?
I'm not familiar with that volume, so I can't comment on its quality one way or the other, other than to say that, at just 82 pages, it does not appear to be very comprehensive in scope.
The
Cherrypicker's Guide series is generally well-regarded and very comprehensive.
The
Cherrypicker's Guide is a three volume series:
Volume I - Covers Half Cents, Cents, Two-Cent pieces, Three-Cent pieces and Nickels
Volume II - Covers Half Dimes, Dimes, Twenty-Cent pieces and Quarter Dollars
Volume III - Covers Half Dollars, Dollars and Gold coins
I don't have the latest editions, but am pleased with the prior volumes of the series in my library. I believe they are worth checking out before you make a purchase if you're looking for top-shelf error coin references.
